After a fatal encounter with a rotten hamburger, Marty DePolo finds himself in an unexpected new role: guardian angel to his best friend Steve. With the guidance of Rod, God's cousin, Marty navigates his supernatural duties while trying to keep his cool as a teenager. As he helps Steve through the ups and downs of high school life, Marty frequently breaks the fourth wall to offer witty commentary to the audience. But as he struggles to balance his angelic responsibilities with his desire to be a regular teenager, Marty must confront the challenges of growing up – and getting into heaven.
