Zarafa

In the animated adventure film "Zarafa," a young boy named Maki risks everything to help a baby giraffe, Zarafa, escape a life of captivity. Along with an aeronaut named Malaterre and a pirate queen named Bouboulina, Maki embarks on a perilous journey across the globe, from Africa to Europe, to return Zarafa to her rightful home. But when they reach Paris, Maki is kidnapped by a ruthless slave trader, Moreno, and forced to work in his household. As years pass, Maki grows up, and Zarafa becomes a star attraction at the city zoo. King Charles, who refuses to help the Pasha, is the target of a daring escape plan devised by Maki and Soula, a friend Maki made during his journey. They free Zarafa and flee in a hot air balloon, chased by Moreno. With Hassan's bravery, they escape, return home and found a thriving new village; Hassan survives his wounds and falls in love with Bouboulina. As it turns out, the storyteller is Maki himself, sharing this adventurous tale with children gathered around him.
