Strangled

In the grip of 1960s socialist Hungary, a string of brutal murders rocks the small town of Martfü. An innocent man is wrongly accused and sentenced for the crimes, while a cunning psychotic killer remains at large, continue to claim young female victims. A determined detective becomes obsessed with the case, but his efforts are thwarted by a pressure-induced prosecutor who seeks a quick conviction. As the investigation deepens into a complex web of conspiracies and unsettling discoveries, the detective finds himself trapped in a suffocating society torn apart by anti-regime protests.
