A deep sea submersible crew is trapped in the Mariana Trench after being attacked by a massive prehistoric shark, believed to be extinct. Against time, oceanographer Dr. Minway Zhang recruits expert diver Jonas Taylor to rescue the crew and confront the monstrous Megalodon, a 23-meter ancestor of the Great White Shark. But Taylor has faced this terrifying creature before, and now he must overcome his fears and team up with Suyin, Dr. Zhang's daughter, to save the trapped crew and free the oceans from the Megalodon's reign of terror.
