Fair Game

Fair Game (2010) is a political drama-thriller film directed by Doug Liman and based on the true story of Valerie Plame, a CIA operative whose cover was blown by the Bush administration in 2003. The film follows Plame's (played by Naomi Watts) career as a CIA agent, her marriage to diplomat Joseph Wilson (played by Sean Penn), and the events that led to her identity being leaked to the press. When Wilson writes a controversial article in The New York Times, refuting stories about Iraq's uranium purchases, Plame's secret work and identity are exposed, putting her career and personal life in danger. The film explores the consequences of this event and its impact on Plame's life, as well as the political scandal that ensued.
