To the Sea

"Alamar" is a documentary film that follows the journey of Jorge, a young Mayan man, and his five-year-old son Natan, who is half-Italian, as they embark on an epic adventure to the Chinchorro reef off the coast of Mexico. With the threat of their inevitable separation looming, Jorge hopes to teach Natan about his Mayan heritage and the beauty of the ocean, while Natan learns to navigate the waters and discovers the world beneath the surface. As they fish, swim, and sail the turquoise waters of the open sea, their bond grows stronger before their eventual farewell.
