In 1913, Budapest, a young woman named Irisz Leiter returns to her birthplace, seeking employment at the legendary hat store her parents once owned. However, she's thrust into an unexpected journey when a mysterious man asks for her help finding a man named Kálmán Leiter. As Irisz follows Kálmán's trail, she uncovers dark secrets about her family and the turmoil surrounding the dying Austro-Hungarian Empire. Through the city's labyrinthine streets, she navigates the treacherous landscape of a crumbling civilization, leading her to confront the darkness within herself and her family's past.
