Snowden

Snowden is a movie about Edward Snowden, a former CIA employee who leaked classified information about the US government's mass surveillance programs to the press. The movie follows Snowden's journey from his early days in the Army to his time at the NSA, where he discovers the extent of the government's illegal surveillance activities. As he becomes increasingly disillusioned with the government's actions, Snowden decides to take a stand and reveal the truth to the world, knowing that he will be hunted by the authorities. The movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Snowden and Shailene Woodley as his girlfriend, Lindsay Mills. It was directed by Oliver Stone and released in 2016.
