Came into this with extremely high expectations (the concept sounded interesting as shit and do I have to mention that fuckin cast?!), but that premade expectation of how well a movie with this genius concept potential and a «sure-to-be» Twitter trend timed PERFECTLY to make fun of all sides of this chaotic time in history we all (unfortunatly) are existing in: was a huge mistake.
Dont get me wrong, the cast is top tier FANTASTICAL, and the concept is a horrificly realistisk scenario, where the societary commentary satiricly touches almost every funny and problematic parts of western civilization in 2021. All the framework for was perfectly layed out for this movie to be a CLASSIC.
But Jeez Louise was I wrong.
The execution was like an actual medieval execution: TRAGIC AND MESSY
The writing felt awkward, all the «hysterical» jokes pretending to be «ironic and with-it) felt forced and squeezed into the script by cringy 53 year old Facebook moms laughing their ass off in the groupechat
