In the suburbs, the perfect lawns and beautiful homes hide the imperfections of its residents. George Altman, a single father, moves from New York City to this seemingly idyllic town with his teenage daughter Tessa, hoping for a better life. But Tessa finds it hard to fit in with the Franken-moms, spray tans, and nose jobs. She misses the city and struggles to adapt to her new surroundings. George also grapples with leaving behind his past life as an architect in the city and navigating his new identity in Chatswin. As they try to find their footing in this foreign world filled with bizarre relationships and over-the-top characters, they come across unexpected challenges that test their bond as parent and child
