Big muscles, big egos, big laughs.

...is about having fun, not picking holes in logic and plausibility, and fun will indeed be had if you surrender yourself to it.

Fun, fiery and totally frivolous, Heads of State is a perfect summer movie with great potential for future sequels.

All in all, it’s stupid fun, done with enough panache that its thin story and sometimes too-glib attitude doesn’t hurt it too much.

It’s a junky, diverting movie, one with major tonal issues and a completely predictable storyline, no matter how many twists and red herrings the filmmakers throw at us.

When it works, “Heads of State” is a hoot.

An old-school mismatched-buddy movie with apparently no ambitions other than to be a thoroughly fun time, it hits that rare undemanding-but-entertaining sweet spot that so many modern action-comedies miss.

...has enough juice to warrant at minimum a view, if for no other reason than to see the duo of Idris Elba and John Cena, with a dash of Jack Quaid’s rising talent thrown in for good measure.

Luckily this action comedy doesn't take itself at all seriously, which makes it easier to suspend disbelief and go along for the ride.
