Zapatlela

In the movie Zapatlela, a notorious crime lord named Tatya Vinchu uses a voodoo spell to transfer his soul into a ventriloquist's puppet after being fatally shot by CID Inspector Mahesh Jadhav. The puppet, which is possessed by Tatya Vinchu's spirit, causes chaos in the life of a shopkeeper named Lakshya, who is in a relationship with Aavdi, the daughter of Constable Tukaram. The puppet reveals itself to be Tatya Vinchu to Lakshya, who believes it to be containing a tape recorder. Tatya Vinchu slyly threatens Dhanajirao Dhanavte, Lakshya's landlord, who dies of heart failure. Lakshya is arrested and imprisoned for Dhanajirao's murder, but he is released when the postmortem reports prove him innocent. Tatya Vinchu travels to Mumbai and meets with Baba Chamatkar, who explains that he must transfer his soul into the human body of the person whom he has confessed his identity and that person is Lakshya. Tatya Vinchu returns to Shrirangpur during the festival of Holi with the intention of possessing Lakshya's body. The movie ends with Mahesh shooting Tatya Vinchu between his two eyebrows and Kubdya Khavis being arrested by the police once again. Finally, Tukaram and Jairam agree for Lakshya and Mahesh's marriages with Aavdi and Gauri respectively.
