When Monaliza Smiled is a heartwarming romantic comedy that follows the journey of Monaliza, a socially awkward woman who has gone 37 years without smiling. Monaliza's life takes a turn when she gets a government job and meets Hamdi, a charming Egyptian cafeteria worker who tries to loosen her up with his jokes and coffee.
