Village of the Damned

In the small town of Midwich, something mysterious happens, leaving the villagers unconscious for several hours. When they awaken, they discover that all women of childbearing age are pregnant, and their children are born with an unusual appearance and supernatural abilities. As the children grow, they exhibit a powerful telepathic bond, can read minds, and force people to do their will. Professor Gordon Zellaby, whose wife gave birth to one of the children, tries to teach them but realizes they are inhumane and must be stopped. He attempts to use a hidden time-bomb to destroy the children, but they discover the truth and manage to break down Zellaby's mental wall before the bomb detonates, killing everyone in the building. The film explores themes of supernatural occurrences and the fear of the unknown.
