In 16th century Kerala, Chirakkal Kelu Nayanar, a warrior and son of a killed nobleman, seeks revenge against the Portuguese Empire's Viceroy, Vasco da Gama for his father's death. Assisted by his friend Vavvali, warrior princess Ayesha and a group of rebels; Kelu plans to infiltrate da Gama's ship and kill him with an urumi, a weapon crafted from the ornaments of dead women and children.
