Up North

"Up North" is a coming-of-age story about a young man named Bassey Otuekong, who is forced to complete a year of community service in a rural town in Northern Nigeria in order to inherit his father's wealth. Despite his initial reluctance, Bassey finds himself drawn to the town and its people, and he begins to question his own values and priorities. Along the way, he meets a cast of colorful characters, including a kind-hearted school principal, a shrewd businesswoman, and a charming young woman named Mariam. As Bassey navigates this new world, he learns valuable lessons about hard work, friendship, and the true meaning of family. Will he eventually find his place in this unfamiliar territory and discover his true purpose in life?
