To the North

In the midst of a transatlantic journey, a devout Filipino sailor named Joel discovers a Romanian stowaway named Dumitru hiding between containers on the ship's deck. Fearful for his life, Dumitru begs Joel to keep his presence a secret from the Taiwanese officers who run the vessel. Joel decides to help, seeing it as a sign of gratitude towards God. However, their cat-and-mouse game becomes increasingly dangerous as they try to evade detection. As tensions rise and loyalties are tested, Joel must confront his own destiny and the harsh realities of the world around him. Will he be able to save Dumitru, or will their bond be torn apart by the unforgiving forces of fate?
