The Thaw

In the remote Arctic wilderness, a group of scientists and students uncover a long-buried secret that threatens to unleash a deadly pandemic on the world. Led by the charismatic Dr. David Kruipen (Val Kilmer), the team discovers that a melting polar ice cap has released a prehistoric parasite that has been dormant for centuries. As the parasite begins to infect members of the team, they must race against time to find a cure before it's too late. But as the infection spreads and the group begins to turn on each other, they realize that their only hope for survival may be to quarantine themselves and sacrifice their own lives to prevent the parasite from reaching the outside world.
