The Rising Hawk

In the 13th century, a small village in the Carpathian Mountains must defend their home against the powerful Mongol Empire, led by the ruthless Burunda Khan. The village's leader, Zakhar Berkut, sends his sons to seek help from a wealthy boyar, Tugar Vovk, who has recently arrived from King Daniel of Galicia. When Tugar's daughter, Myroslava, and Zakhar's son, Maksym, develop a mutual attraction, Tugar forbids their relationship, causing tension between the two families. As war breaks out between the Mongols and the villagers, both sides suffer heavy casualties. With their village on the brink of destruction, Maksym and Myroslava must choose between fleeing or making the ultimate sacrifice to save their people. Will their love be enough to unite the fractured families and defeat the Mongol Empire?
