Supercharged with almost operatic drama, Héctor Babenco’s provocative adaptation of a novel by Argentine writer Alan Pauls stars the magnetic Gael García Bernal as Rimini, a translator who has just ended his twelve-year marriage to Sofía (Analía Couceyro) on seemingly amicable terms. But as Rimini attempts to move on with a series of passionate affairs with other women, the increasingly possessive Sofía struggles with unresolved feelings, leading them both down a twisted path of jealousy and obsession.
