The Jack Bull

In 1889 Wyoming Territory, Myrl Redding, a horse trader, is wronged by wealthy landowner Henry Ballard, who mistreats Redding's horses and Native American ranch hand. When the law fails to act, Redding takes matters into his own hands, rallying a local militia to attack Ballard's home and sending him fleeing. As violence escalates, Redding is offered amnesty, but he ultimately surrenders and is convicted of murder. Ballard is ordered to restore the horses' health and imprisoned for two years. Redding is executed, but his son and ranch hand return home with the healthy horses.
