In the backwaters of a dam,sits a small island slowly submerging due to incessant rains. The government has evacuated all the residents,but one family refuses to leave.The temple priest Duggajja,his son Ganapa and daughter-in-law Nagi, struggle to make a living with the meager compensation given by the government.They cling to their homeland,where they are respected,but outside they would be just another family struggling to survive.The film tells their story and how they ultimately continue life on the island despite all odds.
