Strangeland

In the small town of Helverton, a sadistic killer known as Captain Howdy is using the internet to lure teenage girls to his home, where he tortures and mutilates them. When detective Mike Gage's daughter Genevieve goes missing, he discovers that she had been chatting with Captain Howdy online. Gage teams up with a younger cop, Steve Christian, to track down the killer and rescue Genevieve. They soon discover that Captain Howdy is actually Carlton Hendricks, a former mental patient with a history of violence. After a intense struggle, Gage arrests Hendricks, but the killer is later declared not guilty by reason of insanity and is released from the mental institution. When Hendricks returns to his old neighborhood, the residents are terrified, and an activist group led by Jackson Roth and Catherine "Sunny" Macintosh kidnap and beat him, accidentally reverting him back to his Captain Howdy persona. Seeking revenge, Hendricks kidnaps Roth's wife Madeline and Catherine, and begins torturing them. Gage tracks Hendricks down to a club called Xibalba, where he engages in a fiery battle with the killer. In the end, Gage appears to kill Hendricks by setting him on fire after a long and brutal fight.
