In the midst of political turmoil in Nicaragua, a young American journalist named Trish finds herself stranded without a passport or means of escape. Desperate and resourceful, she turns to sex work to survive and searches for a way out of the country. One day, she meets Daniel, a mysterious British man who may hold the key to her freedom. As they develop a passionate and tender relationship, Trish discovers that Daniel is not who he seems to be, and that his secrets could put them both in grave danger. With the government closing in and a Costa Rican agent hot on their trail, Trish must decide whether to trust Daniel and risk everything for a chance at escape, or to leave him behind and face an uncertain future alone.
