Sitara

Sitara tells the story of a poor Bangladeshi woman who is forced to enter the illegal trade of smuggling ladies' and gents' pants across the border to India.sShe becomes trapped in the trade and must confront the harsh realities of her situation. Despite rising to fame as the queen of the pants trade, Sitara ultimately falls ill and is abandoned by her husband and others. In the end, she finds love and purpose in her work with a social worker fighting for the rights of the poor people living in the border area. However, even this love is eventually torn away from her as the social worker abandons her to marry a rich woman from Kolkata. Despite all these challenges Sitara continues to fight for a living. The film explores themes of exploitation, poverty, and the struggle for survival in a harsh and unforgiving world. Through Sitara's story, the film sheds light on the difficult choices people are forced to make in order to survive and the consequences they must face as a result.
