A young widow, Ratna, becomes the domestic helper for a wealthy architect, Ashwin, in Mumbai. Despite their different backgrounds, they develop a strong bond over their shared dreams and struggles. Ratna inspires Ashwin to pursue his passion for writing, while he encourages her to follow her dream of becoming a fashion designer. As their feelings for each other grow, they must confront the societal norms and class differences that threaten to tear them apart.
