Routines follows the story of a struggling stand-up comedian who finds love with a punk rock singer, but their relationship is tested by the comedian's own self-destructive tendencies and the harsh realities of the entertainment industry. As they struggle to find success and happiness, they must confront their own demons and the emptiness that threatens to consume them. Will they be able to overcome their flaws and find a way to make their love work, or will their relationship succumb to the pressures of their artistic passions?
