Orwell: 2+2=5

The 2+2=5 of the title is a reference to the way governments can bend people towards their will, demanding the wrong answer despite all reason, in an effort to enforce complacency.

...more than any other, the one contradictory equivalence this film does stand behind is that everything old is new again.
