License to Drive

In this comedy-family film, a 16-year-old boy named Les Anderson tries to impress his crush, Mercedes Lane, by taking his grandfather's prized 1972 Cadillac Sedan de Ville for a joyride. However, things don't go as planned when Les' friend, Dean, accidentally damages the car's hood while trying to fix a dent, and Mercedes gets drunk and passes out in the trunk. As the night goes on, the trio continues to cause more damage to the Cadillac, unaware that Les still doesn't have his driver's license. The next day, Les drops off his friends at their homes and shares a kiss with Mercedes before returning home to face the consequences of his actions. Despite the chaos that ensues, Les' family ultimately learns the importance of honesty and growing up.
