In the sweltering summer of 1994 in a picturesque fishing village in southern France where the sun meets the sea, a young aspiring screenwriter named Amin returns home from Paris seeking inspiration for his writing and reconnecting with his family and friends. Enamored by L'amour, lusting after women as his distracted cousin Tony, Amin is spellbound by the countless female figures surrounding him, however, his fascination with them makes him hesitant to fall in love for fear of losing control. In the bustling Tunisian restaurant run by his parents between the local bars where the air is filled with laughter mixed with free-flowing drinks, Amin spends time with his childhood friends, cousin Tony determined to savor every moment, Ophélie (the object of Amin's secret desire and Tony's lover) and Charlotte, and Tony's friend Celine. Although tied to her soon-to-be husband, Ophélie falls for Amin but can’t help lusting after Tony. Amidst drunken parties and beach gatherings filled with girls on vacation who dance, flirt, and tan, Amin embarks on a mission to find true love, blessings, or perhaps destiny (Mektoub). Will the young writer's coming-of-age summer of pleasure be enough to guide him toward his true calling?
