Meesa Madhavan

Meesa Madhavan is a 2002 Indian Malayalam film directed by Lal Jose and produced by Subair Sudhish. The film stars Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Indrajith in lead roles. The film has musical score by K. V. Mahadevan. The story is set in the imaginary village of Chekk, Palakkad, and follows the life of Madhavan (Dileep), a clever thief who does robbery for a living. Madhavan is known for his unique style of rolling his mustache before committing a theft, which has earned him the nickname "Meesa" Madhavan. He falls in love with Rukmini (Kavya Madhavan), the daughter of Bhageerathan Pillai (Jagathy Sreekumar), a local money lender who has a grudge against Madhavan. The film takes a turn when Madhavan is accused of stealing an idol from a temple, which he did not commit. He sets out to find the real culprits and clear his name with the help of his mentor Mullani Pappan (Mala Aravindan). Along the way, he uncovers a web of deceit and conspiracy that threatens to destroy his relationship with Rukmini and his reputation in the village. Will Madhavan be able to prove his innocence and win back Rukmini's love?
