Maverick Modigliani

Maverick Modigliani tells the story of Amedeo Modigliani, a tormented artist from Livorno, Italy, through the eyes of his young companion Jeanne Hébuterne, who committed suicide two days after his death. The documentary takes inspiration from the exhibition "Modigliani - Picasso. The Primitivist Revolution" and features images of works exhibited at the Albertina in Vienna and the National Gallery of Art in Washington, as well as in museums and collections in Paris and Livorno. It's a unique and original perspective on the life and art of Modigliani, an artist who always kept a copy of "Canti di Maldoror" with him.
