Master

In the movie "Master," a new student named Jasmine Moore joins the prestigious Ancaster University, where she experiences strange and terrifying events. Jasmine believes that the ghost of a former Black student who committed suicide in her dorm room is haunting her, but her roommate Amelia thinks it's just a racist student playing tricks on her. As Jasmine's nightmares escalate, she accuses her English professor Liv Beckman of giving her bad grades on purpose, which leads to a dispute that impacts Liv's tenure application. Eventually, Jasmine is found dead in her room from an apparent suicide by hanging, leading Gail Bishop, the school's first Black master, to investigate the truth behind the sinister occurrences. Along the way, Gail discovers a shocking secret about Liv's past and confronts the all-white faculty staff about their role in perpetuating racism at the school. The movie leaves the audience questioning what really happened to Jasmine and whether the school has truly addressed its diversity problems.
