Khaddama

Khaddama is a powerful drama that follows the story of Aswathi, a lower middle-class Malayali woman who is forced to become the breadwinner of her family after the untimely death of her husband. Struggling to make ends meet, she opts to work in Saudi Arabia as a maid, but her dreams of a better life are quickly shattered when she is exposed to a slavery-like vocation and faces numerous troubles, including sexual abuse and battery. The story takes a turn when Aswathi meets Razak, a migrant social worker who is determined to help her escape and return home.
