Kaadhal

Kaadhal is a Tamil romantic drama film directed by Balaji Sakthivel. It tells the story of Murugan, a scooter mechanic who falls in love with Aishwarya, a wealthy schoolgirl. Their relationship faces obstacles as Aishwarya's family disapproves of their relationship due to caste and social status issues. The couple decides to run away to Chennai, but their families eventually catch up with them, and Aishwarya is forced to marry another man to save Murugan's life. Years later, Aishwarya, now married with a child, encounters Murugan, who has become a mentally deranged beggar. Feeling guilty and responsible for his condition, she takes him to a mental health center and takes care of him. The movie ends with title cards revealing that this is based on a true incident narrated by the girl's husband to the director during a train journey.
