In "Hee," a Japanese psychiatrist is reunited with a former patient who has been accused of murder and is struggling with her own demons. The patient, Azusa, has a history of mental illness and has been living a precarious life as a prostitute in Los Angeles. As the psychiatrist, Dr. Sanada, evaluates her mental state, he is forced to confront his own past mistakes and the trauma that has shaped Azusa's life. With the help of an investigator who doesn't speak Japanese, Dr. Sanada must unravel the truth behind Azusa's alleged crime and confront the dark secrets that have driven her to the brink of madness.
