Gulaal

In the crime drama "Gulaal," a law student named Dilip witnesses deception and violence in his college town after being elected as General Secretary. He becomes embroiled in a separatist movement led by local leader Dukey Banna after his friend and fellow Rajput, Ransa, is kidnapped murdered by Dukey forces Dilip to take Ransa's place in an election and bribe the electoral panel to ensure his victory. Dukey starts using university funds for the movement, which Dilip ostensibly controls but discovers are being siphoned off when he confronts Dukey about it. In a fit or rage, he goes to Dukey's house and shoots him, only to discover that Kiran had seduced him to get to Dukey. The film ends with Dilip dying, alone, at home while Karan became the head of the Rajputana movement, and Kiran sheds one final tear for him.
