Gloria del Pacífico

In the late 19th century, the war between Chile and Peru rages on, with the battle now focused on Arica and Tacna. On one side is Chilean General Manuel Baquedano, leading a force of 10,000 soldiers in a strategy to capture Morro de Arica, the last Peruvian stronghold that defends the province. On the other side is Peruvian Colonel Francisco Bolognesi, gathering his officers to decide their next move amidst a lack of news or orders from their superiors. Meanwhile, a surviving veteran in Tacna recounts his lived experience in his final moments, revealing secrets and mysteries that history never told. Parallel stories unfold, including those of Alfonso Ugarte and his personal sacrifice as an assimilated civilian, as well as desertions and betrayals that occurred on both sides.
