In a small provincial town, Lera, a sociology student, lives with her depressed mother and struggles to make ends meet. To support themselves, Lera moonlights as a strip club dancer under the name Gerda. As she navigates her way through life, Lera encounters a cast of unfortunate characters, including her father who has abandoned the family for another woman. Despite her efforts, Lera finds it difficult to improve her circumstances and is constantly plagued by vivid dreams of her soul. Will she be able to find a way out of the cycle of poverty and despair?
