In the aftermath of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, a small town in Japan's exclusion zone struggles to find a sense of normalcy. Despite the lingering risks of radiation, some residents have returned home, including a young woman who refuses to abandon the horses she cares for. As the town grapples with the dilemma of whether to stay or leave, a sexagenarian couple remains fatalistic, unconcerned by the potential long-term effects of radiation. Meanwhile, another resident dedicates himself to cleaning up potentially contaminated dust from the streets where schoolchildren play. Through these personal stories, the film poignantly captures the complex emotions and difficult choices faced by those affected by the disaster.
