Family Weekend

Family Weekend is a comedy-drama film that follows the story of Emily Smith-Dungy, a 16-year-old girl who takes her parents hostage in order to bring her family closer together. Emily is a high school student who excels in jumping rope, but feels neglected by her parents, Samantha and Duncan, who are too focused on their careers to pay attention to their children. The film features an ensemble cast, including Olesya Rulin as Emily, Kristin Chenoweth as Samantha, Matthew Modine as Duncan, Joey King as Lucinda, Eddie Hassell as Jackson, Adam Saunders as Rick, and Robbie Tucker as Mickey. Emily's plan to take her parents hostage begins when they miss her big jumping rope competition. She enlists the help of her siblings and together they take their parents captive in their own home.
