"Ein Sommer in Island" follows the story of a talented Icelandic musician, Andri, who has the opportunity to play in New York City, but must balance his career aspirations with his love life and responsibilities back home. Meanwhile, Maria, a devoted mother and grandmother, embarks on a journey to Neusiedlersee to resolve her son's affairs and meet her soon-to-be born grandchild, while Jette Krogmann, a stewardess, travels to Island with the ashes of her beloved aunt Rosalie who wished to find her final resting place in the country she once called home. As their paths intertwine, the trio must confront their past, present, and future in the picturesque landscapes of Iceland.
