With the outbreak of World War II, Curtin faced the enormous challenge of protecting his nation while battling his own personal demons. This intimate and raw story depicts Curtin's first six months in office, as he navigated tragedies such as Pearl Harbor, the fall of Singapore, and the bombing of Darwin. He also faced fierce battles with Churchill over the deployment of Australian troops. Through it all, Curtin struggled to balance his duty to his country with his own personal struggles.
