In this quirky comedy-drama, a documentary crew visits a remote English village to capture the lives of the notorious cult 'Friends at the End'. The group, once a growing religion, has seen its membership dwindle after a failed doomsday prediction in the 1950s. Now, with their crops failing and their leader in self-imposed exile, the cult recruits a new member, Rachel, who breathes new life into the group. As old relationships begin to fracture, the group's beliefs are put to the test as they await the approaching comet they believe will bring the end of the world. But when new secrets emerge, everything they've been working towards is threatened. Will their beliefs survive the impending apocalypse?
