Played with committed ferocity by the excellent Oh and Heche, this riotous state-of-the-nation satire may lack subtlety, but it has the courage of its socko convictions and certainly packs a punch.

Two former college friends, Ashley and Veronica, lead unsatisfying lives. Ashley, an artist, struggles to sell her work, while Veronica, a housewife, is treated poorly by her husband. They have a chance encounter at a party, leading to a physical altercation that sends Veronica into a coma. When Veronica awakens two years later, she discovers her husband has passed away and her son has died in the Middle East war. Ashley has become a successful artist, but her newfound fame comes at a cost. The two women cross paths again, leading to another violent confrontation that leaves Ashley in a coma. Upon awakening, Ashley discovers she has lost her baby and her art style is no longer in demand. She finds solace in her former assistant, Sally, who has become successful with her happy blue bunnies comics. Ashley then sets out to find Veronica and confront her once and for all.
