In the crime-ridden underbelly of a coastal town, a former hitman named Caina has found a new line of work: collecting the bodies of drowned migrants who have washed up on the shore. With a cold and dispassionate demeanor, Caina scours the beach each night, fueled by a deep-seated xenophobia and disdain for those who don't share his language, race, or religion.
