In the shadow of post-Soviet Armenia's crumbling cultural institutions, a young clarinetist named Alik is thrust into a dangerous game of cat and mouse. With his orchestra's existence threatened after their key sponsor is murdered, Alik finds himself in possession of a mysterious telephone used to commission hits. Manipulated by a criminal's daughter he falls for, Alik assumes the identity of "The Virtuoso," a hired killer, to carry out contracts and save the orchestra. But as he navigates this treacherous underworld, Alik must confront his own morality and the question: can a virtuoso musician also be a killer?
