Black Is Beltza

In 1960s New York City, a young Basque man named Manex is invited to participate in a parade celebrating Hispanic culture, but he is barred from joining due to his race. As he navigates the city, Manex witnesses firsthand the racial tensions and political turmoil of the era, including the Black Panthers, the Cuban Revolution, and Cold War espionage. Despite the obstacles in his path, Manex remains determined to assert his identity and find his place in a society that seems designed to exclude him.
