Bitter Flowers tells the story of Lina, a young Chinese woman who leaves her husband and son behind in search of a better life in Paris. With dreams of opening her own restaurant, she takes on work as a nanny, but soon realizes that her salary won't be enough to support her family. Desperate to make ends meet, Lina turns to prostitution, all while keeping up a facade of success to her loved ones back home. But when a young relative arrives in France, Lina's web of lies begins to unravel, and she must confront the harsh reality of her situation.
