What is Benediction about? Toggle content

Benediction tells the story of Siegfried Sassoon, a decorated war hero and celebrated poet who returns from the Front with a newfound anger and contempt for the war. As he struggles to come to terms with his homosexuality in a society that does not accept it, Sassoon finds solace in his writing, using his poetry to speak out against the brutality and senselessness of war. Despite facing backlash for his views, Sassoon remains determined to share his message and find his place in a world that seems determined to silence him.
